Eligible products are clearly identified by a PRE ORDER badge and a notice on the product page.
Confirm your reservation
Payment is taken when the order is placed and your reservation is recorded.
Arrival at japandco
We receive the product from our supplier. If it arrives early, we prepare it without waiting for the initial date.
Checked and dispatched
Your product is checked, protected and shipped as soon as every item in the order is available.

A transparent reservation
Indicative release date
The announced date is an estimate and can change because of the manufacturer or distribution. We dispatch earlier whenever the product arrives ahead of schedule.
Payment when ordering
The full amount is paid when the pre-order is placed, not when the product is dispatched.
Firm pre-order
A confirmed pre-order is firm and cannot be cancelled. Please check the product and estimated date before paying.
Possible shipping adjustment
If the final packaging differs from the estimate, a small supplement may be requested or store credit may be offered when the parcel is lighter or smaller.

Is the announced date guaranteed?
No. It is indicative and may change because of the manufacturer or distribution. The product is dispatched as soon as japandco receives it.
When is payment taken?
Payment is taken in full when the order is placed.
Can I cancel a pre-order?
A confirmed pre-order is firm and cannot be cancelled.
What happens if my order also contains an in-stock item?
The entire order waits until all products are available. Place separate orders to receive in-stock items sooner.
