About
The story
As a child, Yuta witnessed the accidental death of his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Without understanding why, he captured her soul and transformed it into a vengeful spirit of exceptional power. Condemned because of Rika's manifestations, he was taken in by Satoru Gojo and joined the Tokyo School of Exorcism. Under the tutelage of Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, he learned to control his occult energy, wield a sword, and, above all, rediscover the will to live.
During the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, Yuta confronts Suguru Geto and unleashes his full power to save his comrades. He then discovers that he himself was the source of the curse and allows Rika's soul to depart. After training abroad with Miguel, he returns to Japan, secretly protects Yuji Itadori, and participates in the Murder Hunt. In Sendai and later during the final battle against Sukuna, his copying technique and the connection he maintains with "Rika" make him one of the exorcists' greatest assets.
