The story
A mysterious child rescued from the ocean and raised by Master Quan, Vivi travels to Alexandria to attend a theatrical performance. Caught up against his will in the kidnapping of Princess Garnet, orchestrated by the Tantalus family, he leaves the capital alongside Zidane and his companions. Shy and insecure, he nevertheless reveals an exceptional mastery of black magic and gradually finds the courage to confront a world whose true intentions he is still unaware of.
Vivi soon discovers that the mass-produced black mages are artificial weapons created from the Mist to serve Kuja's ambitions. His encounter with other mages who have gained consciousness reveals his own origins and the brevity of their existence. Confronted with death and the fear of oblivion, he chooses to live his remaining time to the fullest, to protect his friends, and to pass on what he has learned. His journey across Gaia thus becomes an intimate reflection on life, memories, and the legacy left to others.
