About
The story
A gifted setter for Kitagawa Daiichi, Tobio Kageyama earns the nickname "King of the Court" because of his demanding nature. During his last game in middle school, his attackers even end up refusing his passes. After defeating Shoyo Hinata's makeshift team, he joins Karasuno and finds his old rival on the same team. Forced to cooperate, the two players combine Hinata's speed with Kageyama's pinpoint passes to create a fast-paced attack that their opponents struggle to keep up with.
At Karasuno, Kageyama understands that a setter must allow each attacker to express their best game rather than impose their own. He refines his decision-making against Aoba Josai, Shiratorizawa, and during the national championships, while also being invited to the national youth training camp. After high school, he turns professional with the Schweiden Adlers, where he faces Hinata and the MSBY Black Jackals. Selected for the Japanese national team, he then continues his career at the highest level, notably in the Italian league.
