The story
Stark grows up in a warrior village where his timidity earns him his father's scorn. When an army of demons attacks, his older brother Stoltz helps him escape as the village is destroyed. Becoming Eisen's student, Stark develops exceptional strength and endurance, but flees after misinterpreting the fear his power inspires in his master. He then settles near a village threatened by a sun dragon, whose inhabitants he protects with his mere presence for several years.
and Frieren recruit him to confront the dragon. Terrified, Stark nevertheless accepts the fight and defeats the creature, discovering that his fear does not diminish his strength or courage. He then joins their journey to Aureole and becomes the vanguard of the group. Behind his childlike and clumsy demeanor, he is deeply kind and easily wins the affection of those he meets. Each battle allows him, little by little, to embrace Eisen's legacy and recognize his own worth.
