The story
Shoto Todoroki is the son of Endeavor and Rei, born of a marriage arranged in the hopes of creating a hero capable of surpassing All Might. His Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk allows him to produce ice on one side and flames on the other. Scarred by his father's brutal training and the burn he suffered during his mother's seizure, Shoto long refuses to use his fire. At the U.A. Sports Festival, Izuku reminds him that this power belongs to him, paving the way for a difficult recovery.
Shoto then learns to combine his two halves and completes several internships with Endeavor, but this doesn't erase the violence his family suffered. The revelation that Dabi is his brother Toya transforms their conflict into a public family drama. To stop his flames, Shoto develops Phosphor, a technique that simultaneously combines cold and fire. With his mother, brother, sister, and Endeavor, he finally prevents Toya from causing a catastrophic explosion, then continues his career as a pro hero.
