About
The story
A member of Team 10 with Ino, Choji, and their mentor Asuma, Shikamaru prefers gazing at the clouds to exerting himself. Behind this laziness, however, lies remarkable tactical intelligence. During the Chunin Exams, his mastery of combat earns him the distinction of being the only participant in his class to be named Chunin.
His first command mission, tasked with bringing Sasuke back, teaches him the weight of responsibility. After Asuma's death, Shikamaru devises the plan that allows him to defeat Hidan and vows to protect the next generation. He then becomes one of the Shinobi Alliance's chief strategists and later an advisor to Naruto.
