The story
The son of former Flame Pillar Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro continues his training even after his father abandons his role as mentor. By studying the texts passed down through his family on his own, he masters the Breath of the Flame and attains the rank of Pillar. The words of his mother, Ruka, who teaches him that strength should be used to protect the weak, become the central principle of his existence.
Tasked with investigating the Infinity Train, Rengoku battles Enmu alongside Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke while protecting the passengers. After their victory, he confronts Akaza, Upper Moon Three, and refuses his offer to become a demon. Mortally wounded but faithful to his duty to the end, he passes on his encouragement to the young demon slayers and leaves Tanjiro a model of lasting courage.
