The story
Captain and ace of Fukurodani, Kotaro Bokuto is among the best high school attackers in Japan. His power, ball control, and infectious enthusiasm can dominate a game, but his fluctuating mood sometimes puts him in a "depressed mood." His setter, Keiji Akaashi, and the rest of the team know how to get him back in the game. During training camps in Tokyo, Bokuto bonds with Shoyo Hinata, shares several attacking tips, and also helps to revive Kei Tsukishima.
At the national championships, Bokuto gradually assumed his role without relying as much on his teammates to overcome his dips in form. Facing Mujinazaka, he declared his ambition to become an "ordinary ace," capable of remaining reliable in crucial moments, and then led Fukurodani to the tournament final. After high school, he joined the MSBY Black Jackals and played alongside Hinata, Atsumu Miya, and Kiyoomi Sakusa. Upon turning professional, he was also selected to represent Japan.
