The story
A student of the Third Hokage alongside Tsunade and Orochimaru, Jiraya becomes one of the three legendary Sannin. Trained at Mount Myoboku, he receives the prophecy that one of his students will bring about a major change in the world. He teaches Nagato, Yahiko, Konan, and then Minato.
Godfather of Naruto, Jiraya teaches him the Toad Summoning Technique and the Rasengan, and guides him through several years of training. His travels also serve to gather intelligence on the Akatsuki. Having infiltrated Amegakure, he discovers Pain's secret and manages to deliver a final message to Konoha before dying.
