About
The story
Hisoka Morow participates in the Hunter Exam less to obtain a license than to meet fighters who can entertain him. Cruel, manipulative, and unpredictable, he spares Gon after sensing his potential and waits for the boy to become strong enough to face him. At Heaven's Arena, he indirectly teaches him about the dangers of Nen before accepting their duel. A Transmuter, Hisoka uses Bungee Gum, an aura that possesses both the properties of rubber and gum, as well as Texture Surprise to alter the appearance of a surface.
He infiltrates the Phantom Troupe with a fake tattoo in order to get closer to Chrollo Lucilfer, but the restrictions imposed on the leader by Kurapika delay their confrontation. Hisoka then helps Gon and Killua on Greed Island, notably during the match against Razor, while also pursuing his own agenda. After Chrollo's Nen is restored, the two men clash at Heaven's Arena. Defeated, Hisoka is revived using post-mortem Nen and abandons his usual rules: he now sets out to eliminate members of the Phantom Troupe wherever he finds them.
