The story
Himiko Toga was born with the Transformation Quirk, which allows her to take on the appearance of another person after drinking their blood. Naturally drawn to blood, she is forced by her family and society to conceal her urges behind behavior deemed normal. This repression finally breaks down when she attacks a classmate she loves and becomes a fugitive. Inspired by Stain, she joins the League of Villains, where she finds, among Twice and the other members, a form of acceptance that was absent from her childhood.
Her Quirk evolves when she realizes she can also use the power of those she loves after taking on their appearance. Twice's death devastates her and strengthens her desire to ask the heroes why her life should matter less than theirs. During the final battle, she uses Twice's blood to trigger the Parade of Sad Men. Ochaco, however, refuses to reject her and sincerely acknowledges her feelings. Moved, Toga transfuses all her blood into the wounded heroine and chooses to die saving her life.
