The story
Frieren is an elf over a thousand years old, trained in magic by Flamme. After joining Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen, she participates for ten years in the quest that leads their group to defeat the Demon King. For her, however, this decade represents only a brief moment. When the four companions part ways, Frieren resumes her search for spells alone, without realizing the importance of the time they shared or the feelings Himmel harbored for her.
Fifty years later, Frieren reunites with her former companions to observe a meteor shower, then witnesses the death of Himmel. Regretting not having tried to get to know him better, she decides to understand humans and their fleeting lives. After taking Fern on as an apprentice, then welcoming Stark into the group, she heads towards Aureole, the land where souls rest, hoping to speak one last time with Himmel. Each step of the journey gradually transforms her memories into true bonds.
