The story
Enji Todoroki, known as Endeavor, built his career around the Hellflame Quirk and his desire to surpass All Might. Convinced he could never do it alone, he married Rei in order to have an heir who combined fire and ice. His obsession gradually destroyed his family: he subjected Shoto to brutal training, neglected his other children, and contributed to the tragedy at Toya. When All Might retired, Endeavor became number one without having achieved the victory he sought.
His fight against the Brainless High-End makes him understand the true weight of his position and marks the beginning of an attempt at atonement. Endeavor doesn't ask his family to forget, but seeks to face the consequences of his actions. The public revelation that Dabi is Toya exposes his wrongdoing to the entire nation. During the final war, he confronts All For One and then rejoins his people to prevent Toya from exploding. Severely wounded, Endeavor subsequently retires and agrees to dedicate the rest of his life to answering for his actions.
