About
The story
An orphan crushed by the debt left by his father, Denji survives by hunting demons for the yakuza alongside Pochita, the Chainsaw Demon he took in. Betrayed and then dismembered on the orders of the Zombie Demon, he returns to life when Pochita becomes his heart in exchange for a promise: to continue pursuing his dreams. By pulling the handle located on his chest, Denji can now transform into Chainsaw Man.
Recruited by Makima into Public Security, Denji finds a home with Aki Hayakawa and Power. Makima, however, exploits his need for affection, causes the loss of his loved ones, and attempts to break his contract with Pochita. Aided by the last of Power's blood, Denji manages to defeat her by outwitting her and breaking her contract. He then takes in Nayuta, the new incarnation of the Demon-Domination, while trying to reconcile his life as a teenager with his identity as Chainsaw Man.
