About
The story
A former high school brawler, Chifuyu Matsuno meets Baji when the latter helps him against a group of thugs, despite their initial rough encounter. Impressed by Baji's courage and loyalty, Chifuyu follows him into the Tokyo Manji Gang's first division and becomes its vice-captain. Even when Baji joins Valhalla and publicly punches him, Chifuyu refuses to believe he has betrayed him.
After Baji's death during Bloody Halloween, Chifuyu chooses Takemichi as his new captain and entrusts him with the memory of his mentor. He then becomes the first member of the Toman to whom Takemichi reveals his time travels. Together, they investigate Kisaki, confront the Black Dragon and then Tenjiku, and try to save Mikey. His loyalty and analytical skills make him Takemichi's constant partner across timelines.
