About
The story
Before becoming a demon, Akaza was named Hakuji. He stole to buy medicine for his sick father, but his father took his own life to avoid being a burden. Taken in by Keizo, the master of a dojo, Hakuji cares for his daughter Koyuki and finds a new family with them. When rivals poison their well and kill them, he massacres their dojo with his bare hands before being transformed by Muzan.
Having become Akaza, he climbed the ranks of the Twelve Demon Moons to third place and relentlessly pursued powerful fighters. After killing Kyojuro Rengoku, he reunited with Tanjiro in the Dimensional Fortress and fought alongside him at Giyu Tomioka. Decapitated but still able to regenerate, Akaza finally regained Hakuji's memories, gave up the fight, and agreed to join those he had lost.
